So let me just come out and say that marketing an indie video game is hard. Getting noticed in the age of mobile apps and Steam is getting harder and harder as time goes on. Today I just wanted to make a post to shout out to one of the most valuable resources available to independent developers: Pixel Prospector’s Big List of Indie Game Marketing. Honestly, without this site, we would not have known where to even start with marketing a new game, and while we haven’t mastered the art yet, PP’s list has proven invaluable. I highly recommend checking them out if you have the time, they have many other excellent resources available in addition to this list, so if you have every had any interest in making games, it is a good place to start.
